From sellingcoach.net here are 10 key rules for success in sales culled from numerous experts. Follow them daily and you will almost surely be successful. 10. Make at least 20 telephone calls a day; then talk to at least 10 qualified prospects (in person or by phone) daily. 9. Ask your current customers for referrals. 8. Organize your prospect base using contact software such as ACT! or Outlook. 7. Develop a pipeline and assign a stage to each prospect. Spend most of your time on the prospects near the narrow end of the pipeline. 6. When you're ready to quit each day, make one more call. 5. Quit trying to sell; start trying to solve problems for prospects. 4. Work on the relationship at least as hard as the sale. 3. Get rid of your bad time management habits; plan, plan, plan! 2.
